2018 Stories
AN EVENING FOR COURTNEY
Friday, September 21st, 2018 at Synergy Health Club in Petaluma, California
Imagine if you did all the right things to keep healthy and you were enjoying taking care of your children, one of whom is 9 months old, only to discover you have Stage 3 Hypopharyngeal cancer (an aggressive throat cancer). Courtney Whalen, a mom, wife, daughter and sister is living this reality. Come join us for an Evening for Courtney! It is time to rally our forces and come together to support a beautiful family. In true Fabulous Women style, whether you know this family personally or not, let them feel our love and support. Come out for some delicious food, amazing raffle items, and community spirit.
All funds raised on our site during September and October will support their family.
Back to Our Roots
Andrea Vigil
Our first event of the year is a ‘back to our roots’ style gathering where we meet at a home (18 Iverson Way) and share a glass of wine and some nibbles. On Friday, April 13th at 6:30 we’ll be introducing Andrea Vigil, a Special Education teacher at Corona Creek Elementary. Andrea is bravely facing some significant health issues with Type 1 Diabetes and Cerebral Palsy and she is also a single mom. She is new to our community, so let’s show her how caring and generous our town can be!
FESTIVAL OF TREES 2018 RECAP:
Local organizations and companies gathered throughout the first week of December and created custom Christmas trees for our Festival of Tree’s silent auction. All the money that is raised throughout this event goes to three different organizations who apply for grants: World, Community, and Youth. This year there were so many great applications we decided to spread the love and picked five organizations to support!
The five organizations that Festival of Trees supported in 2018 are:
The Rwanda School Project
The Petaluma Museum
The Village Network of Petaluma
Petaluma Music Festival
Shop with a Cop
Keep an eye out for the grant applications for 2019!!
